West London Queer Project (WLQP) is inviting the entire community to join its biggest celebration yet as it marks six years of bringing LGBTQ+ people together with a free Street Party in the heart of Chiswick.

Taking place on Sunday 30 August 2026 at Old Market Place, Chiswick (W4) from 12 pm to 9 pm, the event promises a full day of live entertainment, community stalls, family-friendly activities, food and drink, and a celebration of diversity, inclusion and community spirit.

Since launching in 2020, WLQP has grown into one of the UK's largest LGBTQ+ community organisations, supporting more than 5,000 members and delivering over 200 activities each year. What began as a small local initiative has become a thriving community that provides opportunities for LGBTQ+ people to connect through sport, wellbeing, social events, culture and advocacy.

Last year's Street Party welcomed more than 4,000 people, and organisers are expecting an even bigger turnout this year.

As always, the event is completely free to attend, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to taking part. Visitors who are able to do so will have the opportunity to make a voluntary donation to help support the project's work throughout the year.

The celebration will feature live performances throughout the day, community organisations, local businesses, food vendors and activities for all ages before continuing into an official After Party in the evening.

West London Queer Project is also encouraging local businesses, organisations and volunteers to get involved by supporting the event and helping make this year's celebration the biggest yet.
