On Wednesday 7 February, at 8pm at St. Saviour's Church, (Wendell Park, Cobbold Road, W12 9LN), it’s the first of this year's Upper Room Winter Lectures series.

The lecture is entitled: 'Claude Monet in London – Enveloped in a fog of smoke and light'. Matthew Morgan from the National Gallery will be the speaker.

Matthew Morgan is not only a trustee of The Upper Room, but more relevantly Adult Learning Officer at the National Gallery, and a lecturer at Birkbeck College, London. He has worked as a Director at Christie's. He is the anchor lecturer for the series, and last year’s talk on Hidden Gems from the National Gallery was very well received.

The lecture is free but donations are welcome.

The Upper Room is a charity based at St Saviour which has been been working to help socially disadvantaged people in London since 1990, including homeless people, economic migrants and ex-offenders.
