Round The World Sailing

A talk by Humphrey Walters in aid of the RNLI

Humphrey Walters, whose motivational talks have helped the England Rugby team amongst others, will speak on 7th October at 7.30 pm about his experience of taking nearly a year off to sail around the world. The talk will take place at Corinthians Sailing Club and proceeds are in aid of the RNLI.

Humphrey has studied both academically and practically all aspects of human nature that motivate and inspire people to succeed and win. In order to study teamship and attitudes in a hostile environment, he spent 11 months in a force 10 gale doing the BT Global Challenge – a yacht race sailing the wrong way round the world.

He is also very involved in sports and helped the World Cup winning England Rugby Team with their team development (they won by 35 seconds!). More recently he was involved in helping JCB break the world land speed record in a car with two digger engines!

He has also run over 35 marathons for charities!

The event will take place at London Corinthians Sailing Club, Linden House, Upper Mall, Hammersmith, W69TA.

Tickets are £8 on the door. Drinks and snacks are available beforehand.
