Mayor Attends Remembrance Service


Staff at Civic Centre in Hounslow pay their respects

Staff at the Civic Centre paid their respects at a Service of Remembrance hosted by the Mayor of Hounslow, Cllr Pritam Grewal, on Friday( Nov 9) ahead of Armistice Day.

Representatives from the Royal British Legion, Armed Forces, Civilian Forces and Standard Bearers also attended.

The service was conducted by Rev Canon Malcolm Herbert from Holy Trinity Church, Hounslow and followed by two minutes' silence at 11am to remember those who lost their lives in wars, including the First and Second World Wars.

Mayor of Hounslow, Cllr Pritam Grewal, said:

“We owe a huge debt to those brave people at various moments in our country’s past that went to war to fight for our liberty and sacrificed their lives.”
