Developer Stanhope applies to open Pergola on the Roof from May 25
The pop-up restaurant on the roof of the former BBC Television Centre's multi-storey car park which became a summer hotspot in 2015, is set to return this year.
Unlike last year's Storeys however, this year it will be called Pergola on the Roof and will be run by Incipio Events, who also run Little Feast in Shepherd's Bush Yard.
Developer Stanhope has applied to Hammersmith and Fulham Council to use the rooftop as a restaurant from May 25 through till August 29.
The application reads as follows:
Use of the roof of the Multi-storey Car Park for a rooftop restaurant event (Wednesday to Friday 18:00 to 23:00, Saturday 12 noon to 23:00, Sunday 12 noon to 21:30) for a temporary period of up to 14 weeks from 25 May 2016 to 29 August 2016, including the erection of a timber pergola covering seating area. | Former BBC Television Centre Wood Lane London W12.
The application also includes a covering letter from Stanhope, which says: " Pergola on the roof will feature temporary versions of four of London's best known restaurants beneath a wooden pergola structure and sweeping panoramic views of West London as the backdrop."
The letter promises the restaurants will be of "improved high quality and reputation" and goes on to say that there will be a bar, table seating and sun loungers with a maximum capacity of 599 people, 400 seated and 199 standing.
