Hammersmith and Fulham Neighbourhood Watch Association, or HFNWA, has launched a new website which will offer the latest news from the 150 plus watch schemes across the borough and details of how to contact them.
The site, www.hfnhw.org also offers crime prevention advice and contacts for the police Safer Neighbourhood Teams.
The number of neighbourhood watch groups in Hammersmith and Fulham has grown from just six schemes in 2005 to 154 today, which between them look after 214 streets.
In 2005 there were six schemes in the borough. Five years later, 214 streets are covered by a total of 154 groups.
Neighbourhood watch schemes work by developing close liaison between local people and the police, aiming to help them protect themselves and their properties.
Lyn Carpenter, Hammersmith and Fulham Council's director of residents' services, says: " Police and council work extremely hard to crack down on crime, but we rely heavily on the intelligence that active Neighbourhood Watch schemes provide.
"With so many neighbourhood watch schemes operating in the borough, there is bound to be one close to your home."
Visit the site to find your nearest scheme or to find out how to set up your own.
