Carrie Reichardt's Mosaic House Attracts International Interest

Volunteers from twelve countries working together on local artist's latest project

A group of artists from all over the world has staged an International mosaic intervention at the home of Carrie Reichardt in Chiswick.

Carrie said,"I have artists from around the world helping me for the next week to try and finish the front of my house. Isidora Paz Lopez from Chile is here. I won the Winston Churchill Award to visit her in 2014 and work with her on a project to mosaic the town hall in Puente Alto, Santiago Chile.

"Twelve other artists from that project are here in Chiswick to help me. I have artists from Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherlands and France.

"Many volunteers, both local and from around the country are also helping to complete my house. I have had such a terrific response from my neighbours too. Coming and bringing food, helping to sort tiles and many just coming to watch as the mosaics slowly go up."

Carrie hopes to complete the house in the next month and for the scaffolding to come down finally then.
