Sharp fall in Fulham but increases seen in Shepherd's Bush and Hammersmith

Parts of Fulham are seeing a quick drop off in Covid cases, while some areas of Hammersmith and Shepherd’s Bush are seeing infection rates increase.
An interactive map of data collected by Public Health England reveals the precise number of new cases recorded during a seven-day period in every local area of the country.
For Hammersmith and Fulham, it shows that situation in some areas around Askew Road and Hammersmith town centre appear to have got worse. Whereas most neighbourhoods in the borough, particularly in southern parts of Fulham, have seen cases fall to only single digits.
The map shows that in the seven days to February 11, only eight new cases were recorded in an area labelled South Park, which includes Peterborough Road and Carnwath Road. In the previous seven-day period (up to February 3) the area recorded 13 cases.
In Parsons Green West (streets around Fulham Road) six new cases were confirmed in the week up to February 11, down from 13 cases in the week prior.
Along Fulham Palace Road, an area known as Fulham Reach, there were six new cases compared with 16 in the week before.
Lillie Road and Greyhound Road had four cases compared with 18 in the previous week.
Around Barons Court and to the south of Talgarth Road, cases fell from nine to only four.
Sands End & Chelsea Harbour fell from 20 to nine cases. Parsons Green East & Eel Brook Common fell from 25 to 11.
Cases fell from 28 to 16 in North End Road, around the West Kensington and Gibbs Green estates. Fulham Broadway had a small reduction, from 20 cases to 18.
According to the Government data, Hammersmith Broadway saw 15 new cases confirmed in the seven days to February 11 – an increase of three compared with the previous seven day period (up to February 3). This area includes Hammersmith Grove and Queen Caroline Street.
The Brackenbury neighbourhood also saw a small increase, with six new cases compared to four in the previous week.
And the data showed that Ravenscourt Park saw no change between the two week-long periods, as 14 new cases were recorded during both.
West Kensington had seven new cases compared with 21 in the previous week.
Brook Green had five compared with 14 cases in the week prior.
The Government’s data also shows that Shepherd’s Bush North (including White City Tube Station and the Green) saw 17 new cases confirmed in the seven days to February 11. This was an increase of two compared with the previous seven day period (up to February 3).
The biggest increase in the borough was seen in the Askew Road area, where there were 25 new cases compared with 10 new cases in the previous seven days.
Shepherd’s Bush West saw no change, as nine new cases were reported in the seven days to February 11.
Cases fell from 21 to 16 in Wormholt Road and from 16 to nine in White City.
The Old Oak and Wormwood stayed the same and had 38 cases in both of the seven-day periods.
