The London Youth Games are now well underway with several teams from Hounslow competing over recent weeks and more events to come over the summer.

Sunday 15 May saw the Hounslow team take part in the trampolining event where they achieved their best result in the last 6 years. Nine local gymnasts took part and finished 9th out of 28 competing Boroughs.

The trampolining team was:

Ciara Schleip Naomie Cain
Adriana Vasylyshyn Ruby Stanley-Davies
Woody Lee Leo McKenzie
Hayden Lawson Grace Whittaker

Road Cycling also took place with 5 young riders competing for the Borough. The team placed 15th out of 22 teams at the Lee Valley Velo Park event.

The cycling team was:

Hounslow also took part in the basketball events on 21 and 22 May. Both the boys and girls teams did well and made it through to the semi-finals that will be taking place at the Copper Box Arena. The boys won every one of their games in a tough group at the UEL Sports Dock. The girls lost their opening game after a controversial refereeing decision but went on to win their remaining games and a play off to make it through to the next round of the competition.
