London's Underground- A 150 Year History

A talk organised by Hounslow and District History Society

150 Years of London’s Underground is the subject of Hounslow and District History Society’s next meeting at 7.45pm on 28th October 2014 at the United Reformed Church Hall, Chapel Road, Hounslow, Middlesex TW3 1UL. The lecturer is Mr David Clarke, a friend of the London Transport Museum.

The talk will trace the beginnings to the inclusion of Amersham on the Metropolitan Line and the opening of the Piccadilly Line’s extension to Hatton Cross in 1977, bringing the “tube’s”progress up-to-date.

This illustrated lecture will be of great interest to all residents, especially as the Piccadilly and District Lines run through the London Borough of Hounslow. Everyone is welcome. The price for non-members is £2.00.
