Hounslow Launches New Online Community Guide

For voluntary and community groups

Hounslow Council’s community partnerships unit has created an online Community Information Guide (CIG), an exciting new online directory of voluntary, community groups and organisations across the borough who provide support, advice and important services for our residents.

It also includes information about community buildings that are available to hire. The site has been designed to be as accessible as possible whilst remaining visually interesting and easy to use. You can visit it here:

If you are a voluntary organisation, a community group, a tenants’ or residents’ group or any other group that provides services in your community – then we would encourage you to add your details to the Community Information Guide. There is no charge for this.

If you are simply looking for information on services and activities you can view the directory at any time. There is no need to register any details.

Those who have registered and have a service listed on the directory can log in at any time to update their information. All active record holders are contacted at least once a year to update their information.

Cllr Katherine Dunne, Cabinet Member for Communities & Workforce, Hounslow Council, said: “Hounslow Council is working closely with our community and partners to create a positive environment that supports voluntary and community groups. This new online guide will provide a valuable information resource that we hope will help and encourage local groups to share their information online."

If you have any problems registering, or you would like more information please email: cig@hounslow.gov.uk
