An information event for young people looking for jobs

Connexions are holding an event for 16-24 year olds to offer guidance and support on a number of future options available to them.

It is open to those who are not currently in education, employment or training. 

i-Connect, which is now in its 6 th year is being held to support young people in Hounslow by giving them a chance to discuss and get information on apprenticeships, traineeships, further education, work experience and volunteering opportunities.

The event will be held on Wednesday 2nd October between 3pm – 7pm at the Lampton Park Conference Centre, Civic Centre, Lampton Rd, Hounslow TW3 4DN. 

Councillor Lily Bath , cabinet member for children’s services said: “I would encourage all those seeking future career guidance or advice to come along.   

“The event aims to build on previous year’s successes in providing young people in the borough with practical information for them to make important career choices”.

There will be speakers, interactive demonstrations and young apprentices will talk about their experiences.

Connexions are working in partnership with Hounslow Job Centre Plus, Hounslow Adult Education, training providers, colleges and other volunteering agencies.
