Special events for would-be adult learners in the borough
Residents have been urged to grab a chance to learn a new skill as part of Hounslow Council’s commitment to Adult Learners’ week.
To kick start the week, the council is hosting a special event at Hounslow Library in the Treaty Centre in the High Street on Saturday, 18 May from 11am to 4pm.
Councillor Steve Curran , cabinet member for housing, regeneration and planning, said: “Learning new skills is a secret to long term success.
“Having a wider range of skills not only gives you a better chance of getting a new job or promotion, it enriches your life too.”
The event will offer an opportunity to sign up to new courses or a chance to try your hand at Indian head massage, digital photography or brush up on your interview skills.
