Hounslow Council has a new guide to help keep them entertained

With the summer holidays fast approaching, Hounslow Council has issued details of a range of activities so that parents have a choice of things to do to keep their children entertained.

From Bedfont to Chiswick, and Heston to Isleworth, there are activities taking place right across the borough for children, young people and families.

To help parents find things to do, the council has published a guide Activities for children and young people.

The guide includes information about the activities such as kayaking, animation workshops, day trips, martial arts, play schemes, and arts and crafts, taking place at youth centres, libraries, schools and museums across the borough.

There’s even a chance for you to make your own Olympic Torch at Kew Bridge Steam Museum after watching the real thing pass through Brentford next Tuesday (24 July).

Cllr Lily Bath, cabinet member for children and families at the council, said:

“Keeping children and young people entertained over the summer holidays can seem difficult, but there’s so much on offer across the borough for all ages and abilities.

“With so much choice available, we’ve put everything together in one place to make it easier for parents to find activities.

“As well as activities at all 18 of our children’s centres, there are lots on offer for 11-18 year olds at our youth centres, most of which are free.”
