Over 50’s Get Chance to Voice Opinions

On local Health and Social Care issues across the borough

Representatives from the Hounslow LINk will be giving Hounslow residents the opportunity to contribute to local Health and Social Care issues on Tuesday 24th February. Although this is open to all, the LINk is specifically interested in hearing from the over 50’s.

A spokesperson from the Hounslow LINk said “Whether the services are provided by the Council, the NHS or privately, the Hounslow LINk is able to look at every aspect of health and social care and where appropriate, make recommendations or changes to improve the services. We simply need to talk to as many people as possible”.

They went on to say “We know the over 50’s are more likely to use their local GP’s, hospitals and care homes. Therefore we recognise they inevitably will have opinions on the way they are run. Hopefully, if enough people tell come forward, together we can make a real difference”.

The Hounslow LINk is an independent body, part of a wider national LINks programme involving local groups, organisations and individuals who represent the views of local people. A LINk allows everyone to have a say in how their local health and social care services are planned, developed and implemented. Anyone can get involved, and it has been set up to make sure that people get the health and social care services they need.

Representatives of the Hounslow LINk will be in the main foyer of the Civic Centre on Tuesday 24th February from 11am-3pm. If you would like to find out more or arrange for a representative to visit your organisation you can call 08450 949 497 (local rate)
