Local Parks in Need of Friends

CIP are on the look out for keen park users who wish to become park friends

• Do you enjoy using your local park?
• Are you enthusiastic and open to a challenge?
• Would you like to get involved in having a say in how the park is managed?

THEN YOUR PARK NEEDS YOU!!

Your local park development team are on the look out for keen park users who wish to become park friends; a group of local people who have a shared interest in their local space or park, with the desire to create increased usage of the park through improving facilities and carrying out events.

As little or as much of your time can be given if you decide to become a ‘friend of’; from joining the committee, to simply supporting park events – any involvement is of value and will contribute to positive changes within your park.

If you regularly visit your local park and have an interest in its future, then becoming a friend is for you!

For more information, including details of your local friends group and tips and support regarding how to form your own, please contact Charlotte Brewster, Community and Funding Officer on 0845 456 2782 or charlotte.brewster@cip.org.uk

Friends groups, work in partnership with CIP Parks and Open Spaces to further improve the area and encourage community use and care of the park. CIP manages the park on behalf of Hounslow Council.
