Weekday Frequency to Be Reduced on Route 267

TfL says more buses were running than required to meet demand

Passengers using the 267 bus route will face longer waits during weekday daytime hours from this weekend after Transport for London announced a reduction in service frequency.

TfL has confirmed that buses on route 267, which runs between Hammersmith Bus Station and Fulwell, will operate every 12 minutes instead of every 10 minutes between 6.45am and 7.45pm on weekdays from Saturday 7 November. There will be no changes to services at any other time.

TfL says the change follows a review of passenger demand across the network to ensure ‘value for money. It was concluded that more buses were running than are required to meet current and expected demand at certain times on bus route 267.

The transport authority said it would keep the revised timetable under close review to ensure passenger demand continues to be met.

The route is an important link through west London, serving communities including Hammersmith, Chiswick, Brentford, Isleworth and Twickenham before terminating in Fulwell.

The latest reduction continues a pattern of periodic timetable revisions on London's bus network as TfL seeks to balance service levels with changing travel patterns and financial pressures.

TfL says customers will be informed through updated bus stop information and journey planning tools, including the TfL Go app.

Chiswick Gunnersbury councillor Joanna Biddolph said, “It's yet another reduction in services for people who rely on buses to get to and from Chiswick, and travel within Chiswick. The short notice shows how little regard TfL has for bus passengers across the borough and Chiswick residents in particular.”
