Shepherd's Bush's Westfield and OryxAlign top contenders
A range of businesses from across Hammersmith & Fulham have been shortlisted for the prestigious West London Business Awards.
Organisations ranging from a local housing association to Westfield shopping centre have been acknowledged for their excellence, with the winners to be announced at a special ceremony at Wembley Stadium in February next year.
Leading the way with a total of five nominations is Westfield London shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush, which has been shortlisted for: Hospitality Business of the Year, Retail Business of the Year, Responsible Workplace Award, Community Investment Award and Green Business of the Year.
Computer support and services business OryxAlign, from Shepherds Bush, has two nominations, for Business Services Company of the Year and Technology Business of the Year.
Another local organisation in line for an award is Shepherds Bush Housing Group, which has been nominated in the Community Investment Award Category.
Hammersmith & Fulham Council was also named in the shortlist for the Responsible Workplace Award category.
The awards recognise the outstanding achievements of organisations and individuals across three themes: sector leadership; sustainable and responsible business; and economic growth.
"Hammersmith & Fulham is proud to be home to so many innovative and pioneering businesses which excel at what they do," says Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration. "We commend all those shortlisted."
