GCSE Students in H&F Among Country's Top Performers
63% achieve benchmark result, nine points above average
New official figures released by the Government show that GCSE students in Hammersmith & Fulham are among the country's highest performers.
Almost 63% per cent of pupils in H&F achieved the benchmark of five GCSEs ranked A*-C including English and maths, placing them a full nine points above the national average.

Results within the borough have also risen. The exact figures show that the number of GCSE students achieving the target in H&F has gone upfrom 62.6% in 2014 to 63.5% in 2015.
This places H&F within the top 20% of all local authorities in England.
The best performing schools in the borough were Fulham's London Oratory School, where 87% of pupils achieved the target, followed by Sacred Heart High School in Hammersmith with 85%.
Fulham's girls' schools both also performed well with Fulham Cross achieving 74% and Lady Margaret 73%.
Most improved school meanwhile was Hurlingham Academy - formerly Hurlingham and Chelsea School - where the percentage achieving the benchmark rose by eight points from 42% to 50%.
"Diligent pupils supported by dedicated teachers have produced another impressive set of results," says Cllr Sue Macmillan, H&F Cabinet Member for Children and Education.
"They should be very proud of all that they have achieved. I wish all our hardworking pupils every success in the future. This is certainly a great start."
