New scheme will offers priority bookings and exclusive discounts
Olympia London is inviting members of the local community to become friends of the famous Hammersmith Road venue.
A newly launched scheme called Friends of Olympia
London will offer priority booking and exclusive discounts to shows and events and at local businesses near the centre.
The Friends scheme is a first-of-its-kind for the iconic exhibition
centre, which says it comes as part of its commitment to bring the Olympia London community closer
together.
The forthcoming £1 billion development of Olympia, shown in these artists' impressions, will see it transform into a
world-leading cultural district, with a live music venue, theatre, arthouse cinema, jazz bar,
leading hotels and restaurants and state-of-the-art office space, alongside the
133-year old grand exhibition halls.
Throughout the planning process, Olympia London has
engaged and consulted the local community on the masterplan and its role within the area.
Now it says the launch of Friends of Olympia London is a result feedback from
residents during this process and provides an opportunity for Olympia London to promote and celebrate
businesses in the area.

Nigel Nathan, Managing Director of Olympia London, says: "We truly value our
neighbourhood so we’re delighted to announce the introduction of the Friends of Olympia
London initiative. This will provide incredible access not only to our existing partners, but a
number of new brands and experiences we are set to announce over the next few years."
Mo Fahmi, owner of Espress-Mo – one of the first businesses to sign up to the scheme – says: " I’m delighted that Olympia London has launched this scheme – this is exactly the kind of
initiative that small local businesses like ours are looking to be part of."
Olympia London has also begun
engaging with the community in a number of different ways. Most recently it announced the plan to
establish long-term partnerships with two pioneering community arts and theatre groups –
Stagecoach and Chickenshed, offering world-class performance space at the venue.
Olympia exhibition centre in Hammersmith Road was sold to the consortium made of up Yoo Capital and Deutsche Finance by Earls Court developer Capco in the spring of 2017 for £296 million.
The planning application for the redevelopment of the 14 acre site envisages adding two new boutique hotels, co-working spaces and restaurants, including pop-ups and organic eateries, plus a four-screen arthouse cinema, a 1,000-seat performing arts space, a 1,500-seat theatre, performance and rehearsal space, a new jazz club-style restaurant and venue, shops, cafés, hotels and new public space including pedestrianised squares and a sky garden.
