Save Our Hospitals Holds Frontline Public Meeting Tonight in Askew Road

Offering a chance to hear from staff about realities of working in the NHS

Campaign group Save Our Hospitals is inviting the local community to a Frontline Public Meeting tonight, 30 May at 7pm in the Askew Rd Methodist Church hall.

The group says the meeting offers a chance to hear directly from NHS staff about the reality of working in the NHS – and why it should be everyone’s number one voting priority.

Speakers include Dr Gurjinder Sandhu, Consultant Physician in North West London, Dr Aislinn Macklinn Doherty, a Junior Doctor and Anne Drinkell, a Community Nurse.

Save Our Hospitals: Hammersmith and Charing Cross is a community-based, non-party political campaign which has been fighting to retain and improve our local NHS services for the past five years.

A particular focus of the campaign has been the retention of Charing Cross Hospital as a major acute hospital with full A&E and other acute services.

Save Our Hospitals says the NHS both locally and nationally is under threat as never before. Our health service faces a funding crisis, a staff shortage crisis, a bed-shortage crisis and a crisis in health-related social care.

It is now campaigning for people to think carefully before they vote and to 'vote for the NHS' on 8 June.

Tonight's meeting begins at 7pm, with doors open from 6.30pm. The church has disabled access and tea and coffee will be provided.

Askew Road Church is in Bassein Park Road in Shepherd's Bush. You can find directions to the church on its website.
