British Transport Police has issued an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an allegation of sexual assault that took place on a night bus in west London.

At around 2.50am on Friday, 5 August 2022 a man boarded a N9 bus travelling towards Hounslow at Hammersmith.

A woman was sitting on the lower deck when the suspect approached her, sat next to her then kissed her on the face and then put his arms around her. The woman pushed him away several times before someone intervened and the woman got off the bus.

The bus’s route travels through Chiswick, Brentford and Isleworth before terminating in Hounslow.

Detective Inspector Jonathan Potter, from the Roads and Transport Policing Command, said, “We are releasing this image in the hope someone will recognise this man and provide his details to police. Sexual abuse of any sort will not be tolerated and those who choose to engage in such behaviour must be held to account.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote 6592/11Jan. You can also provide information to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
