CCTV Images Released of Graffiti Attack on Polish Centre
Man pictured spraying building with paint just after EU Referendum
CCTV images have been released of a man police believe to have been responsible for the graffiti attack on the Polish Centre in Hammersmith a few days after the EU Referendum.
Offensive graffiti was daubed on the front of the Polish Social and Cultural Association at 5.23am on Sunday, 26 June 2016. Hammersmith and Fulham Police are treating the incident as a hate crime.
CCTV which shows the man approach the location on a pedal cycle with a white frame and stop on top of the stairs outside the door. He is then seen spraying yellow graffiti on the doors of the community centre before making off on his bike in the direction of Hammersmith Broadway. He was wearing an orange hi-vis jacket over a grey hoodie.
DC Robert Rodak, from Hammersmith and Fulham's Community Safety Unit, said, "Our enquiries are ongoing and I am now appealing for the public's help in identifying this man. We take incidents of hate crime very seriously so I am keen to hear from anyone who may think they recognise him. Anyone who contacts us will have their information dealt with in the strictest of confidence."
