Four men, including one from Shepherd's Bush, have been sentenced today, October 13 at Kingston Crown Court
following a series of armed robberies across West London last year.

One of those robberies was at bookmaker William Hill in South Africa Way in W12.

Stacy Burke, 24, of Braybrook Street, W12 was sentenced to
eight years imprisonment for his part in the robberies.

His accomplices were Jamie Baker, 23, of Kittiwake Way, Hayes, sentenced to 10 years; Tyrone Tocher, 22, of Stone Crescent, Feltham, six years imprisonment; and Shabaz Razaq, 31 of White Lodge Close, Isleworth, sentenced to four years imprisonment.

Detective Inspector Jason Prins of Barnes Flying Squad said: "These four men had absolutely no regard for their victims as they drove around on motorbikes, some of which were stolen, looking for premises to rob.

" A detailed investigation and surveillance operation carried out by the Flying Squad enabled a wealth of evidence to be gathered, which resulted in the defendants pleading guilty before trial."

Following a robbery on a Cash-In-Transit (CIT) van and a jeweller's shop, Barnes Flying Squad were able to identify Baker and Burke as possible suspects as a result of their DNA being found at the scene of a motorbike collision in North Acton in May 2010.

It was believed that the stolen motorbike was linked to an earlier CIT robbery.

Officers launched a pro-active survellience operation in an attempt to gather evidence in elation to the two suspects and identify who their associates were. It was known that a different number of suspects would attend each robbery and use a variety of methods to steal money and jewellery. A range of firearms were used in the offences including a Mac 10, a shotgun and a revolver.

As a result of the survellience, Tocher and Razaq were identified as being part of the group.

During the investigation Flying Squad officers were able to recover one of the firearms the group used, some clothing that was identical to that worn by the suspects during the robberies, and jewellery and cash that was stolen. They were also able to prove possession of motorbikes
fitting the description given by witnesses to the offences.

Baker was arrested with Burke in October 2010 in the process of attempting to carry out a robbery on a CIT van in High Street, Rusilip, a loaded firearm was recovered at the scene. Baker was charged and later pleaded as below.

Burke was also charged in relation to offences and pleaded as shown below.

Tyrone Tocher was arrested on October 7 2010 and charged with related offences, he later pleaded as below.

In November 2010 Shabaz Razaq was arrested and charged with related offences, he later pleaded as below.

Offences

1. Smash and grab robbery on Friday May28, 2010 at 11.18am at jewellers Bradleys of London Road, Beaconsfield. Baker pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods.

2. Armed CIT robbery on Thursday June 3, 2010 at 11.25am outside Nationwide, The Centre, Feltham. Baker pleaded guilty to robbery.

3. Attempted armed robbery on Thursday June 17, 2010 at 5.15pm at William Hill, 57 South Africa Road, W12. Baker pleaded guilty to attempted robbery.

4. Armed robbery on Thursday June 17, 2010 at 5.35pm at William Hill, Yeading Lane, Hayes.
Baker pleaded guilty to robbery.

5. CIT robbery on Monday September 13, 2010 at 1.15pm at The Royal Bank of Scotland, High Street, Uxbridge. Burke pleaded guilty to robbery.

6. Armed Robbery on Monday September 20, 2010 at 0.45pm  at Reels, High Street, West Drayton. All four defendants pleaded guilty to robbery.

Baker and Burke also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rob and possession of a firearm in relation to their arrest in High Street, Ruislip.
