The revised timetable — part of a wider package of changes to London’s bus network — sees the 272 service running with updated frequencies on evenings. According to TfL’s published changes, the route now operates with buses every 15 minutes during evening periods while remaining at 15-minute intervals during daytime hours on all days of the week.
The 272 runs from Cavendish Road in Chiswick, passing Turnham Green Station through Acton before terminating at Shepherd’s Bush Station. It is a particularly important route for those needing to visit Hammersmith Hospital.
The changes are part of a broader package of service alterations including those for routes 283, 72, and N72. The 283 has been withdrawn, and routes 72 and N72 are re-routed to serve White City Estate.
The changes to the 272 were delayed allowing time for the operator to acquire more buses.
The timetable changes on route 272 follow last year’s public consultation on proposed adjustments to several west London routes, including 72, 283 and their night service variants.
