Shortlist Announced for 2014 Brilliant Business Awards

Winners to be announced at gala ceremony held in Town Hall

The shortlist for this year's Hammersmith and Fulham Brilliant Business Award has been announced.

Local residents have made more than 3,000 nominations for their favourite local firms in 13 different categories, including separate categories for businesses in Shepherds' Bush, Hammersmith and Fulham, My Favourite Business, Best New Business and Best Business Supporter in the Community.

Residents were also asked to nominate a business which has changed its fortunes through originality or problem solving.

" It’s great that so many residents have got involved in nominating the local businesses they love," says Cllr Ben Coleman, chairman of the Economy, Housing, Regeneration and the Arts Policy and Accountability Committee.

" This is our way of thanking our best local businesses for all they do for the borough. Every business nominated is a winner and I look forward to learning which the judges have put first."

The top firms in each category will be announced at a gala celebration at Hammersmith Town Hall on November 26.

" Winning the Best Creative Business award last year was a real boost to our business," says Elisicia Moore, director of Petit Miracles retail start-up hub in Shepherds Bush. " It helped grow sales and improved team morale. We are our proud to display the award in our shop – it tells our customers we are the best at what we do."

Judging by a panel of local industry experts will be hosted by the Dorsett Hotel in Shepherd's Bush on November 13.
