Top local agencies take part in eight week long Ad School
Two of Hammersmith and Fulham's best known advertising agencies, Rapp in Manbre Road, W6 and Leo Burnett in Avonmore Road, W14 are taking part in Ad School, the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising's summer school for students and graduates who want to break into advertising.
Ad School is an eight week placement programme for graduates and students in their second and final years. The IPA - a not-for-profit, professional body for advertising, media and marketing communications agencies – has been running the scheme since 2006.
The school runs from July 1 - August 23, 2013, providing eight weeks of immersion into agency life.
As well as getting valuable work experience, the Ad Schoolers attend weekly evening sessions with leading industry experts – a great chance to learn and to network with experts and peers alike. Students will also take part in a group project, which will then be pitched to industry judges at the end of the programme.
Students participating in the Search Ad School can also take the IPA Search certificate and the Google Adwords exam for free – two highly respected industry qualifications.
Last year over 70% of 2012 students received extended placements or job offers.
