The Unexpected Items

Another chance to catch one of the best sketch acts around in action

Following on from their sell-out success at The Tabard during the Bedford Park Festival, The Unexpected Items (creators of Youtube sensation 'Gap Yah') will return from Glastonbury to present their Edinburgh Preview at the Leicester Square Theatre.

Joined by top sketch comedy acts The Boom Jennies and Cardinal Burns, this promises to be the comedy highlight of the month.

The show is from 7pm on Saturday 3rd July, and bookings can be made online here.

If you missed the show at The Tabard, this is a great chance to catch one of the best sketch acts around in action. And if you came to The Tabard and enjoyed it, perhaps you'd like to see the Items again?

The Unexpected Items are formed of six comedians – Sophie Alderson, Katharine Hill, Matt Lacey, Max Pritchard, Adam Reeve and Tom Williams – who write and perform their own sketches and songs, directed by Charlie Henniker.

In January 2010 the group began a seven-month residency at the Hen & Chickens in central London; in February they celebrated their first birthday with a gala show at the Union Chapel and appeared at the Leicester Comedy Festival; and in August they will head north to debut at the Edinburgh Festival.
