Half Term Fun on Demand at Watermans

Lots of ideas and things to do to keep children entertained

Dust. Picture: Stephen Beeny

Venues like Watermans are still closed due to the lockdown but that has not stopped it from giving audiences lots of ideas and things to do to keep children and families entertained for the week ahead.

First off is Dust for ages 4-9 years, a co-production by Half Moon and Z-arts, featuring music by Hugo White from The Maccabees. Streaming online from Saturday 13 - Sunday 21 February at 3pm, for 60 minutes approximately. Tickets are £5 per household.

A young girl, Titch, arrives at the house of a lovable and flamboyant hoarder Nelly. Together the pair discover they have more in common than they first thought and that friendship can heal hidden wounds.

Written by acclaimed award winning children’s author Laura Dockrill (Darcy Burdock book series, Big Bones) Dust uses exquisite poetic language to explore a story about love, loss, identity and memory.

This live-recorded play has closed captioning for the deaf and hard of hearing audiences and is also available with British Sign Language.

Alongside this production of Dust there will be three online creative learning workshops for audiences to take part in at home, exploring the themes of the show.
