Kali Theatre Presents

'Twelve'

Powerful Theatre Inspired by True Stories

Twelve  monologues inspired by true stories about friendship, first love, defiance, death and survival.

Twelve

Twelve is a creative response to the shocking statistic that on average twelve women are killed in the UK every year by family members in so-called 'honour based violence'. Twelve writers have created a unique theatre event to highlight this all-too-common issue and to give a voice to those who have tragically lost their lives. The stories are interwoven with modern dance, expressing the freedom of the women's spirit and the conflict between cultural tradition and modernity.

Twelve premieres at Watermans and will tour to MAC Birmingham and Rich Mix in Shoreditch.
