A brand new play by Tim Walker on the stand off between former Prime Minister Theresa May and campaigner Gina Miller is opening shortly at the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith.

The piece covers the tumultuous political events of recent years played out in a power struggle between these two determined women played by Jessica Turner and Amara Karan.

Described as an intensely human account of the court case Mrs Miller brought against Mrs May, the play contains moments of comedy but ultimately it's a tragedy, where there are no winners, only losers.

The playwright aims to bring the story bang up to date in a finale which seeks to say something about the current state of the country.

Tickets can be bought online and cost £35 or £33 for concessions for performances from 24 February on Tuesday to Saturday at 7.30pm or 2.30pm matinees on Thursday, Saturday & Sunday.

This production will not be socially distanced and may be subject to changes subject to government regulations.

Meanwhile Elizabeth McGovern continues to star in Ava: The Secret Conversations, a new play which explores the fractured relationship between the public and private lives of one of Hollywood's great icons.

The play runs to Saturday 16 April.
