Cancer Research UK's Race for Life is a unique series of events held across the UK where women can come together to walk, run or jog 5km for Cancer Research UK, and help cure cancers that touch women's lives! This is the fifth year that Richmond will be playing host to Race for Life. Now, Cancer Research UK needs women like you more than ever. We are aiming to bring together 250,000 of you at 100 Race for Life events around the UK, to raise an unprecedented £12 million. Why? Because without these funds, Cancer Research UK's pioneering work to help cure cancer faster simply can't happen. Cancer Research UK was born out of the merger of Britain's two leading cancer charities, Imperial Cancer Research Fund and The Cancer Research Campaign. Cancer Research UK will be Britain's leading charity. With a dedicated team of 3,000 scientists and doctors and an annual research budget in excess of £130 million, Cancer Research UK will be the biggest independent cancer research charity in the world.
