Hogarth group's Dan White romps home ahead of the field in European Championships
Following his victory in last year's UK Duathlon Championships, Dan White romped home 4 minutes ahead of the field in the European Championships held in Greece last month.
The Managing Director of both the Hogarth and Park Clubs took the lead during the opening 10km run and despite puncturing on the last lap of the 40km bike ride, was able to extend his lead on the final 5km run, to finish in exactly 2hrs.
The event took place in 30c heat, which Dan took in his stride.
Dan’s enthusiasm for Duathlon has led to the development of a combination of sporting clubs between The Hogarth Health Club and The Park Club, including a swimming club, running clubs, a cycling club (The Hogarth Velos) and a triathlon club (The Tristars).
This autumn will see a brand new AQUALTHLON competition at The Park Club. Combining the disciplines of swimming and running, the event will be run over various distances so young child members as well as adults will compete.
