Dame Tilly Trott returns

Former Watermans favourite is back at the Paul Robeson theatre and is looking for some young assistants

After 3 years away Dame Tilly Trott, played by the much-loved Dominic Gray, will be prancing proudly on stage, in this year's pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk. This year Dame Trott has moved from Watermans Art Centre and will be performing at the Paul Robeson Theatre in Hounslow. Before that glorious opening night Dame Tilly and the village idiot Simple Simon, need to recruit a number of assistants.

This is an invitation to all local children aged between 5 and 12 years who enjoy acting and having a good time. No formal acting skills are required, as Dame Tilly will show you how it is done. The auditions will take place on Saturday 6 September, 2pm in the Paul Robeson Theatre, which is situated in the Treaty Centre, High Street, Hounslow.

Two groups of eight children will be selected to support Dame Tilly Trott in her fabulous frocks. Children will be required to attend rehearsals every Saturday afternoon from 13 September through to the performance dates in December. The pantomime runs from 11 December to 11 January and specific scheduled performance dates and times in this period will be allocated to each group.

Another role is available for four older, taller and perhaps stronger youngsters. Daisy the cow needs to be mobilised. This is an opportunity for you and a friend to be her legs. If you are aged 13 or older and would like to join in the pantomime fun, Dame Tilly would also love to see you at the auditions on Saturday 6 September, 2pm. As Daisy you will only be required to begin rehearsals in November and to be available for the performances in December.
