Christmas celebrations underway at Hammersmith’s Lyric Theatre. This year’s pantomime Cinderella sees the return of writer and composer Vikki Stone to the Lyric after winning Best Script at The British Panto Awards for the theatre's production of Aladdin in 2021. This means the panto, always a Hammersmith highlight, will offer the mix of magic, rip-roaring comedy, live music and the usual twist audiences have come to know and love. Cinderella, suitable for ages six and up, will run till 6 January, 2024.

At the Eventim Apollo, the celebrations continue in January 2024, with a big budget adaptation of J.M Barrie's classic tale Peter Pan flying in for three days only - 5, 6 and 7 January .
This “supersize spectacle” will feature Boy George playing Peter Pan's nemesis Captain Hook. He says, " I'm really looking forward to playing Captain Hook and showing off my evil side! I make my first entrance on a life size galleon that sails around the stage in front of an amazing water-wall fountain.
“Although the show has traditional pantomime elements, it is so much more, being a mix of cirque and spectacular event … and I get a chance to fight a giant animatronic crocodile. What's not to like?”
Boy George takes on the role of Captain Hook
The show will have a cast of fifty including a dozen cirque performers, aerial stunts, a giant battle where the audience throw cannonballs at Hook's ship and a death-defying escape from a locked water tank by rising comedy star Jordan Conway playing Peter Pan, plus a large troupe of Irish and Highland dancers.
