Fern Brady headlines at Thames riverside venue's monthly show Fern Brady

Quip Shed Comedy returns on Thursday 3 November for its monthly comedy night at Linden House Riverside, Hammersmith.

It features some top comedians on the first Thursday of every month and the line up for the next show features TV comedians Josh Weller, David Mills, host Lyle Barke, and headlining is the Fern Brady who has appear in Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo and 8 out of 10 Cats.

She is known for being totally unique and completely fearless and her career has gone stratospheric in the last 18 months. She’s had viral success with her BBC Life Lessons and supported Frankie Boyle and Katherine Ryan on tour.

Opener, Josh Weller, has a high energy brand of self-deprecating stand-up which landed him on pro bills after just one year on the circuit. In addition to his live comedy work, Josh has developed a loyal fanbase for his online content, which includes sketches, live pub quizzes, professional trolling, animated stand-up comedy shorts, character work, and more. In 2020, he was included in Twitter’s Valentine’s Campaign, featured on billboards across the US and UK.

Josh recently appeared in an episode of BBC’s Life Lessons with Alfie Brown and his darkly comic graphic novel, Die Already, was published by CollegeHumor.

David Mills is a London-based American actor, comedian and cabaret performer who won the Hackney Empire’s New Act of the Year competition in 2011. He has performed at venues all over London, the UK and in the US. He’s opened for Ed Byrne, Margaret Cho and Scott Capurro and performed his solo shows at venues such as Soho Theatre, Leicester Square Theatre, Oval Theatre, Crazy Coqs and the St James Theatre, to name but a few. He’s also taken six shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
