Record Breaking Crews Attend Head of River Ceremony

Chiswick's Tideway Scullers Honored at Fuller's Prize Giving Evening

The Fuller's Head of the River Fours prize giving took place at the Hock Cellar in Fuller, Smith and Turner's Griffin Brewery in Chiswick on Thursday 7th December. The event was very well attended; thanks in the main to Fuller's generous hospitality, and several members of the GB rowing squad were present amongst the winning crews.

Brewery director, Richard Fuller presented medals and painted trophy oars to the winners and was in turn presented with an award by Martin Humphrys of the Thames Regional Rowing Council in recognition of Fuller’s continued support of rowing over the last 27 years.

GB sculler Alan Campbell and ex-GB lightweight Mike Hennessey, two members of the Tideway Scullers Elite quad who won the race overall and set a new course record, were present to collect the head trophy, although fellow crew members, Slovenian Olympian Iztop Cop and New Zealand World Champion Mahe Drysdale, were unable to attend.
