Over-50s invited to annual event at Town Hall
Residents over the age of 50 are being invited to the annual Time of Your Life event.
The event, which takes place at Hammersmith Town Hall, has been running for eleven years.
This year’s celebration on October 16 runs between 10:30am and 4:30pm, and brings together many events including health checks, salsa dancing and gardening workshops, as well as a full entertainment schedule.
Council staff, health providers and community and voluntary groups will be on hand, giving information and advice on issues such as housing, benefits, pensions, healthy living and falls prevention.
Olympians who took part in the 1948 games will be taking part in a question and answer session and there will be performances from the Brick Lane Music Hall and the Ravenscourt Theatre School. The Metropolitan Police Authority will also be at the event, ready to discuss local issues and hear the views of residents.
Free transport is available for residents across the borough who cannot get to King Street by any other means.
Residents can enjoy a subsidised lunch for £1.50 and other refreshments will also be available throughout the day.
