Experienced choreographer provides fantastic opportunity to get involved in dance
Following the huge success of a series of dance workshops at local primary school Greenside, Emilia Reid, an experienced choreographer and dancer is running a summer dance school for one week this August.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get your child involved in dance, whether they have previous experience or are first timers.
At the dance school the children will learn routines to popular songs currently in the charts, numbers from famous west end musicals and make new friends. A great way to keep the kids active and to give the parents a break this summer.
Whilst working at Greenside, Emilia was taken aback by the amount of enthusiasm the children had for dancing and saw that there was a lack of dance available, especially during the long summer holidays. A performer herself, who attended summer schools, Emilia wants to give other children the same opportunities she had whilst growing up and so has set up this dance school at a much lower price than many dance companies offer.
The dance school will run from the 13th to 17th August at Phoenix High School from 10am to 3pm. At the end of the week there will be a showcase in Phoenix Theatre to which all the parents are invited to come and watch what their child has learnt during the week.
