Cycling enthusiasts, bargain hunters, and community supporters are invited to the annual Barnes Charity Bike Sale.

This year it istaking place on Saturday 13 September from 9:30am to 12:00pm at St Mary’s Church, Barnes (SW13 9HL). The event, now a staple of the local calendar, offers a wide selection of pre-loved adult and children’s bikes at affordable prices, with all proceeds going to support local charities.

Organised by volunteers from St Mary’s Barnes, the sale has raised over £100,000 since its launch in 2006 and helped repair and rehome more than 1,700 bikes. The event is known for its friendly atmosphere and community spirit. Bikes will be showcased in advance on the sale’s Instagram and Facebook pages, giving prospective buyers a preview of what’s available. Whether you're looking for a child’s first bike, a commuter upgrade, or simply want to support a good cause, the Barnes Charity Bike Sale offers a sustainable and socially impactful way to get rolling.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
