Ealing borough’s team secured a brilliant silver medal in the Under-13 girls race at the London Youth Games Cross Country on Saturday 8 November, at Parliament Hill Fields.
Sophia Davis produced a standout performance for the borough team, finishing the 2km course in 7 minutes 49 seconds to claim second place. She was one of more than 1,500 runners representing boroughs, schools and clubs from across London in what has become a significant fixture on Hampstead Heath.
Runners from 32 London boroughs competed across a programme that ranged from Under-11 to Under-17 races. Earlier competitors over The London Youth Games course at Parliament Hill include Sir Mo Farah, Alex Yee and other athletes who went on to international success. T
Tricia Leman, Deputy Mayor of Camden, praised the Games for their wider impact on young people. She said the event builds self-confidence, life skills and the disciplines of competition, while giving participants the pleasure of being part of a community with their peers.

Organisers thanked the City of London Corporation, the South of England Athletics Association and borough team organisers for their support in staging the event. The London Youth Games Foundation is inviting supporters to sign up for future fundraising runs, including a Half Marathon, to help sustain the programme and its opportunities for young Londoners.
