ITV's 'This Morning' Presenter Ruth Langsford Supports Ealing Mile

Alzheimer's Society is the lead charity for the Ealing Half Marathon

Ruth Langsford, presenter of ITV’s This Morning and Loose Women, will be starting the Ealing Mile this Saturday, 23 rd May at 11am, in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

The Alzheimer’s Society is the Headline Charity of the Award-winning Ealing Half Marathon and organisers decided to support Dementia Awareness Week, by hosting a one off FREE MILE SPECIAL!!

Ealing Half Marathon organisers hold regular Mile Series events and are making the Mile event this Saturday free for all runners, asking instead that everyone makes a donation to Alzheimer’s Society.

Ruth, a well-known Ambassador of Alzheimer’s Society, will join runners this Saturday at 11am in Lammas Park, Ealing and is encouraging local people to come and join in. Ruth said: “I am not known for my ability to run but this is the best reason I know to get my trainers on! The work the Alzheimer’s Society does in raising awareness about dementia is incredible. 225,000 will develop dementia this year, that’s one every three minutes.

“The work that the Alzheimer’s Society does in terms of support for families and in terms of research is vital. So please come along, donate and support Dementia Awareness Week.

“I want to thank the Ealing Half Marathon for making Alzheimer’s Society the headline sponsor for the second year and for raising money this Saturday – it really does help to make the difference.

“And if you get bitten by the running bug this Saturday, then the Ealing Half Marathon can be your next to goal to continue to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society!”
