Tory MP Urges 'Vote Lab'

It's time to put party politics aside for a minute and support the event of the year and Ealing Central and Acton MP, Angie Bray, is asking for some local help.
Next week is the Westminster Dog of the Year competition - it's been going for 20 years and for the first time this year Angie’s entering Poppy, her two-year-old Labradoodle – the only Ealing entrant!
Organised jointly by Dogs Trust and the Kennel Club, the competition offers the unique chance for MPs to show off the loyal four-legged friends who have supported them on the political trail, showcase their bond and highlight the companionship that dogs can offer.
As well as this, the competition also encourages an open dialogue on important dog welfare issues.
Just to prove it's non-political, Labour's Ealing North MP, Steve Pound, has promised to lend his support to Angie and Poppy.
Last year’s winner was the MP for Tiverton & Honiton Neil Parish and his 4 year old Labrador, Wilberforce.
Angie is trying to drum up some last minute votes for Poppy, described as 'the dog with the waggiest tail', and bring the title home to Ealing.
In a candid interview with the Kennel club Poppy says the theme tune that best represents her and her owner’s relationship is 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun'.
The ‘Westminster Dog of the Year’ competition starts at 10.00am on Thursday 25th October at Victoria Tower Gardens.
The judging panel that will determine which pooch wins the hotly contested crown includes Clarissa Baldwin, CEO of Dogs Trust, Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, and last year’s winner, MP for Tiverton & Honiton Neil Parish and his 4 year old Labrador, Wilberforce.
