New Commander for Ealing Borough Police

Superintendent Sultan Taylor takes over

Chief Superintendent Sultan Taylor has taken up the post of Borough Commander of Ealing Borough police.

Borough Commander Sultan Taylor officially took over from Acting Borough Commander Superintendent Julian Worker on Monday 5th November 2007.
Borough Commander Sultan Taylor states

“I am extremely pleased at my new appointment as Borough Commander for Ealing. I intend to build on the excellent work by Colette Paul. I am aware that the Borough has a good reputation, which I will enhance.

"My vision will be to make Ealing the safest London Borough. I intend to achieve this through internal and external teamwork, developing the excellent partnership work that already exists, combining the energy from our community, businesses, voluntary sector and local police to ensure that the progress is sustainable.

"I am particularly pleased to serve Ealing, which has been enriched by a wide, and diverse community, which I believe, will make my role even more enjoyable.”

Mr. Sultan Taylor has been a serving police officer in the Metropolitan Police Service for 23 years. He began his career as a Police Constable in 1984 and then worked as a Beat Constable in Finchley from 1988-1991. His other posts included working as a Police Inspector (Wembley) and Detective Inspector (Golders Green) from 1991-1997; as a Detective Chief Inspector in Barnet and on Secondment to Metropolitan Police Authority Transitional Team. In 2001 he became Superintendent for Enfield Borough, then Chief Superintendent in 2003. From 2005 to the present he has been Chief Superintendent in Havering Borough.
