Police appeal for witnesses of the 31 March attack
Ealing Borough Police are appealing for help in identifying a male suspect who they believe was responsible for a knifepoint robbery on Grange Road, Ealing, W5 on Saturday night at 12.50, March 31.
The victim, a 26yr old female, was walking along Grange Road, W5, when the suspect jumped out from behind some hedges and grabbed her.
Police say the suspect produced a knife which they have no detail on. He then threatened the victim and demanded she hand over her property.
The suspect then searched the victim’s pockets, stole her handbag and made off eastbound along Grange Road towards Ealing Common.
The victim walked away along Windsor Road, W5 where she met a member of the public who phoned police. They had not witness the incident.
The victim’s handbag was found by a member of the public on Ealing Common at midday on April 1 and handed in at Acton Police Station. Her Samsung E750 Mobile Phone and bankcard were missing.
The suspect is described by the police as: a black male, approximately 20 years, 5’ 08”, of thin build, wearing a dark hooded top.
"This was a very frightening and distressing ordeal for the victim who suffered a minor cut to her hand and slight bruising to her neck when she was grabbed by the suspect," said Detective Inspector Alexis Boon, Ealing Borough Police. "We are treating this incident very seriously and are anxious to trace the offender."
The Local Safer Neighbourhood Teams will be making regular patrols in the area.
