Diccon Adams Dies After Swift But Courageous Battle With Cancer

"Extraordinarily kind man with a wry sense of humour" passes away aged 61

Diccon Adams passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening after a swift but courageous battle with cancer, he was 61.

Those who knew Diccon Adams remember him as extraordinarily kind, gentle man. He had a wry sense of humour and a no-nonsense attitude which many will recognise from his very sane and often amusing posts on the Chiswick, Acton, Ealing and Brentford Forums.

Diccon Adams was one of the earliest contributors to the forums as well as being a regular at forum get-togethers. Many fellow contributors counted Diccon as a friend even if they never had had the opportunity to meet him in person.

A spokesperson for Neighbour Net, who knew Diccon personally, said "Diccon’s recent silence on the forum after posting an account of a frustrating hospital visit had given rise to concerns. It was devastating to read his daughter KT’s posting yesterday giving the sad news that Diccon had succumbed to cancer."

She continued "The long list of forum friends posting on KT’s thread is indicative of how much Diccon was valued by his local virtual community. He is irreplaceable and will be sadly missed.  We extend our deepest sympathy to his wife, daughter and son."
