Volunteers are already been sought for the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 tournament due to take place from 6-31 July next year.

Four of the games take place at the Brentford Community Stadium including three group stage matches on and one of the quarter finals

Longtime fans and curious newcomers are being offered an opportunity to become one of 2,000 UEFA volunteers across the country who will welcome visitors.

Roles are varied to suit different skills, and include ‘Spectator Services’ - being at the forefront on an event day, ensuring spectators have the best possible match day experience and ‘Stadium Support’ - where volunteers will assist delivery and logistics teams.

There is also the opportunity to be a Host City Volunteer, acting as ambassadors for the Borough and creating a welcoming atmosphere across fanzones and transport hubs and celebrating local neighbourhoods for visiting fans.

Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to be a volunteer – no experience is required, and applicants of all backgrounds are welcome.

Apart from being over 18 and able to travel to selected venues through your own means, there are no restrictions. So apply for a role here, where you can also find news on tickets, the tournament, competitions and more.

Applications will close on 1 November and interviews will be carried out between November 2021 and March 2022.

Susan Couper, Senior Recruitment and Volunteer Manager at The FA, said, “Being a volunteer at the UEFA Women’s EURO England 2022 tournament is an amazing opportunity to be a part of what’s set to be the biggest Women’s European sport event in history. Volunteering gives you the chance to see the event from a completely different perspective whilst enhancing the major event experience for all guests. It’s also the perfect opportunity to build friendship networks and maybe even provide a glimpse into a future career. Since London 2012 we've seen huge numbers for volunteers at sports events and this will be no different, helping us to deliver a record-breaking event that inspires positive change in the women’s game, right on our doorstep.”

Cllr Samia Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Leisure Services at Hounslow Council, said, “This is an amazing opportunity for Hounslow residents to be an integral part of an international football tournament which happens to be taking place a stone’s throw away from home. Volunteers will be pivotal in creating a spectacular match-day atmosphere, potentially a once-in-a-lifetime experience which will leave a positive legacy in Hounslow for everyone and inspire us all to get active. Whether you’re a hardcore football fanatic or you just want to be a part of the action, I encourage residents to apply and represent their borough on the world stage.”
