QPR unveil their new 'Dennis the Menace' away shirt

Queens Park Rangers revealed their new 2009-10 away shirt when they played Preson North End last Sunday (May 3).

The strip has been dubbed the “Dennis the Menace” kit because it features the same horizontal red and black stripes worn by the popular comic strip character.

Near the collar, the shirt carries the logo of manufacturer, Lotto, and in the centre is the logo of sponsors Gulf Air.
As well as the shirt, the strip also includes red shorts and red and black hooped socks.

The red and black hoops first featured on the QPR away shirt for the 2006-7 season and the Loftus Road Club say it has been brought back by popular demand.

“We know from speaking to a number of fans' groups that the red and black away kit is considered to be one of the most popular. That made it very easy for us to bring it back,” Deputy Managing Director Ali Russell told the Club's official website.

“I have always preferred this away strip," added Club Captain Martin Rowlands. "QPR is all about the hoops so it's great that we have that back in the away design. As always, a nice kit is important and the lads are all really happy with this one,” he said.

QPR say the new away strip will be available for pre-ordering from 11 May or it can be bought from the Club shop in Loftus Road by the end of June.
