Putney Bridge Station Closed After 'Security Alert'


Reports of suspect package at Territorial Army Headquarters

Putney Bridge Station was closed and local offices were evacuated due to what was reported by social media to be a security alerty earlier this afternoon (25 July).

Local office workers say they were asked to leave their desks becuase of a a suspect package at the headquarters of the Territorial Army in Fulham. When ask the Met's press office said they were unaware of a security alert and believed there may have been a collision involving a cyclists near the location.

London Underground now say that Putney Bridge station has 'reopened and trains are now stopping as normal'.

Bus routes 39 85 93 265 270 414 were subject to diversion and delays due to the closure of the tation.
