New editor not so Green


Maxine Briggs to take over at local magazine

Established local magazine The Green has appointed a new editor Maxine Briggs.

Maxine, a resident of East Sheen, has a strong background in print and television journalism, writing for both business publications, consumer titles and working for the BBC in White City.

“The Green is such a vibrant magazine and is fondly-regarded by its readers. Being a local girl myself, I am raring to go to with lots of exciting ideas to continue The Green’s success,” says Maxine.

“I want to encourage as much interaction as possible between the magazine and local residents, so letters, comments and emails are all very welcome,”

Covering local news, events and lifestyle features, The Green now in its 13th year, is distributed free every month to homes and businesses in Chiswick, Hammersmith, Brentford, Acton, Ealing, East Sheen, North Sheen, Kew, Mortlake, Richmond, Shepherd’s Bush and St Margarets.

The Green’s February issue is out 21 January. As well as covering local news and issues, it also features an exclusive interview with local resident and BBC London News anchor Emily Maitlis plus a special Valentine’s Day feature.
